On behalf of the organizing committee of 2022 ICF SUP World Championships in Gdynia we would like to invite everyone interested – either as competitors or supporters – in this young and dynamically growing sport. This event brings together the best competitors in the world and is important not only for Poland but also for the whole SUP community. We hope to take full advantage of this great opportunity given to us by ICF and that in September we will meet you at this great event. See you in Gdynia!

On behalf of the Polish Canoe Federation I cordially invite you to Gdynia to participate in the 2022 ICF SUP World Championships. We are proud to host this competition and grateful to ICF for having trusted our experience. It is an honour to host the best athletes from all over the world and I am sure that the event will be organized at the highest level. I am convinced that it will be an unforgettable experience for all participants – filled with emotions and new friendships. I also hope that this year’s World Championships will increase the popularity of the discipline around the world. I will you good luck and pleasant stay in Gdynia!

How to get to Gdynia?

The closest airport is the Lech Wałęsa Airport in Gdansk located about 20 km from the venue. It is the primary airport in Northern Poland and the third largest airport in the country that connects one of the strongest metropolitan regions in both Poland and Europe itself to the rest of the world.

You can also use one of many expressways or motorway A1 (Amber Highway) that lead directly to Gdynia.

If want to travel by train we recommend Gdynia Główna railway station – 10 min from the center.
The Port of Gdynia is a universal port and one of the leading ports in the southern Baltic Sea. www.port.gdynia.p

Prize money

A prize money of 30 000 EUR will be divided between open age category (sprint, technical, long distance). The prize will be split between men and women 50:50.

Participation fee

Participation at 1 event: 80 EUR
Participation at 2 events: 95 EUR
Participation at 3 events: 110 EUR
Participation in inflatable boards event: 95 EUR
Non-participating entry: 40 EUR
Lunch at the venue: 15 EUR per day

The participation fee includes: accreditation, access to the course during access period, security, lifeguards, medical care toilets, showers, electricity on the course during opening hours, washing facilities, board storage, board measurements and control facilities, cars parking, wi-fi, drinking water, board and equipment repair service, board number distribution.
Available extra services: boards rental, transfer.
All extra costs will be charged at the venue by cash (EUR).
INSURANCE
All participants are strongly advised to take out a medical insurance policy in their respective countries.
MEDICAL CARE
The first aid ambulance will be available for all official participants of the championships. All cost above the regular care are to be covered by your medical insurance policy. The OC does not take responsibility of such expenses.
